Frequently Asked Questions

NO!  A rem 700 footprint does not mean it is 100% identical to a Rem 700 and those differences my effect how the stock and action interface.  Modifications may be required.  AG Composites recommend you work with a professional gun smith to do any fitment modifications.  Modifications may void any warranty.

All our stocks, except the AG Sportsman, can be milled for a left handed shooter.  Our stocks are ambidextrous in that the palm swell and or thumb shelves are dimensionally the same on both sides of the stock.

The AG brand is important to us and therefore AG will only offer paint and camo styles that are currently on our website, Facebook page and Instagram page.

Due to manufacturing variances in quality and tolerances, some brands of QD sling swivels do not function well in the QD cups on our rifle stocks. Therefore, we recommend the following QD sling swivels to be used.

Recommended QD Sling Swivels

1) Magpul MAG540 Quick Detach QD Sling Swivel for Rifles

2) Bengor Two Point Traditional Sling Attachments Mounts

3) SOMA QD Sling Swivels

The distance between the two front sling swivels is 2.6" center to center.

Lead times may vary based on stock model and the time of the year.  Certain times in the year are busier than others resulting in longer lead times.  Generally speaking, lead times for fixed stocks are approximately 10 to 12 weeks.  Lead times for adjustable stocks are approximately 12 to 14 weeks.  Custom add on options may add 2 to 3 weeks.

Here is a list of custom options available:

2 QD Cups (left or right side)

4 QD Cups (both sides)

MOE Picatinny rail: 2", 3" and 4" rails available

Atlas Rail: 3.35" and 4"

Tri-pod option: We place two 1/4-20 threaded holes 1.5" in front of the front action screw for a tri-pod plate.

LOP Adjustments: From 12.5" up to 17" LOP adjustments can be made.

Arca Rail option: We install an aluminum rail inside the stock the entire length of the forend.  This allows the user to drill and tap screw holes anywhere along the bottom of the forend.

Texture can be added to the forend and pistol grip

We only make the stock.  We do not provide or sell bottom metal, actions or action screws, barrels, bi-pods, tri-pods, or optics.  We do have custom options such as QD cups and picatinny rails that we can install on the stock.

Different inlets, barrel sizes, custom options such as rails and QD cups as well as the type of finish can effect the overall weight.

No.  Manufacturers say their actions are Rem Clones but all of them have subtle differences that can result in fitment issues.  We only guarantee the fitment for the actions, barrel channels and bottom metals we offer.  If you order a stock with one of our options and try to put a different brand hardware in the stock, we DO NOT GUARANTEE that it will fit.  If you purchase a stock and try to put different hardware in stock and it doesn't fit, you can return the stock in good condition with no modifications and we will refund your money minus a $75 re-stocking fee.

Our stocks are inletted for Rem 700 and rem clones such as Defiance, Kelbly, Stiller, Lone Peak and Impact.  In addition to manufacturing AG Composites stocks that are used by many custom gun builders and companies like Remington, we make private-labeled products for Kimber (Open Country rifle), Barrett (the Fieldcraft rifle was the 2017 Guns & Ammo Rifle of the Year), Weatherby, Bergara, Alamo Precision, Mesa Precision Arms and many more.

You can place your order on this website or you can contact us at 1-833-AGSTOCK (833-247-8625).  If you are a gun builder or rifle manufacturer call us to discuss pricing.  General questions please email info@agcomposites.com.

Yes.  AG Composite LLC carbon fiber composite rifle stocks can be bedded, sanded and drilled using common woodworking techniques.  If you have a gunsmith nearby, call or visit them as they may have experience in stock modifications.

Warning:  Always take proper precautions when working with carbon fiber

  • Wear a dust mask and properly dispose of material removed from the stock any time you are sanding or drilling the stock.
  • Wet sand the stock whenever possible to minimize airborne dust.
  • Only use soap and water to clean your stock.
  • Any modifications made by the user voids the warranty protection.

Yes, we test fit each stock using hardware purchased from aftermarket vendors such as Hawkins, Stiller, Defiance, etc.  All receivers, barrels and bottom metals however are not created equally.  If you receive your stock and it doesn’t fit, contact us.  At times hardware tolerances can vary causing fitment issues.  99% of the time a little bit of sanding will take care of it.

STOCKS WARRANTY: 100% Guaranteed Satisfaction
Every AG Composites stock carries a Lifetime Warranty against cracking, warping, splitting, breaking or becoming unserviceable. If a problem occurs, the stock will be repaired, replaced or the purchase price will be refunded at our option. Paint defects caused through normal use of the stock by the consumer are not warrantied. Contact us to return a product.

The warranty is voided if the end user modifies the stock or uses the stock for a purpose for which it was not designed. All AGC stocks have been extensively tested and carry a warranty up to 300 RUM caliber. Using a more energetic caliber voids the warranty and AGC is not responsible for any damage or injury as a result of using the stock outside its tested capabilities.

AGC only warranties products we produce. No warranty is applied to accessories or products we purchase from other manufacturers.

If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your AG stock, return it within 30 days in good condition for a full refund or exchange. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.  In addition, due to credit card transaction fees you will receive your refund minus 4%.

We only guarantee the fitment for the actions, barrel channels and bottom metals we offer.  If you order a stock with one of our options and try to put a different brand hardware in the stock, we DO NOT GUARANTEE that it will fit.  Even though manufacturers say their hardware is a "Rem Clone" there is a high probability that there will be subtle differences resulting in fitment issues.  In this case you can return the stock in good condition with no modifications.  We will assess a $75 re-stocking fee.
